At-Meeting Services Participants Receive Book(s) Books Offered for Purchase Participants Receive Coupons toward Purchase of Book(s) Small group or Individual Interviews Coffee in Content-themed Ceramic Mugs Pocket-Size Reminder Cards Participants Receive Book(s) Purchased by the Organization The organization purchases copies of selected book(s) for each member of the audience. The books are distributed in one or more of several ways: placed in the participants’ hotel rooms, included in the registration package, and/or distributed after the speaker’s presentation. Books are Offered for Purchase at the Conference The organization arranges for the speaker to sell books to participants interested in purchasing them. This activity usually takes place after the speaker’s presentation, but can be extended to other opportunities pre-speech or post-speech. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, VISA, American Express, and Discover Card for your participants’ convenience. Sponsor Gives Participants a Coupon Toward Purchase of Book(s) The organization distributes good-today-only coupons for some amount toward our books. Each participant gets one coupon worth, say $10, to spend as he/she wishes on our available books. At the end of the sales period, we count up the coupons collected and bill the organization for the face amount. This approach works well when the organization wants the participants to share in the cost to demonstrate their commitment. Those who want to buy can take advantage of the support (one coupon accepted per buyer, no multiple coupon purchases); those who don’t choose to buy relinquish the value offered. Small Group or Individual Interviews These interviews can be arranged as a scheduled or non-scheduled activity in the hospitality area, trade show floor, or private space. Some associations have scheduled a separate small meeting room in the conference area for private interviews. Customized Ceramic Mugs Participants get their coffee in special coffee mugs that are designed and produced for the event. The speaker’s topic is integrated into a design with the name of the association, meeting information, location, etc. This momento is a take-home reminder of the event. We can work with you to have these mugs designed and produced. The technique is to have them shipped to the hotel, washed by the hotel kitchen staff, and used to serve coffee for participants. Pocket-Size Reminder Cards We provide convenient reminder cards for meeting participants at no charge. These little cards are easy to use during our presentations, then take home as helpful reminders.
