HermanCheckStart
reports offer a wide range of Job Categories, but
occasionally a client requires a more specialized
application. This is easily done with the HermanCheckStart
system. CheckStart's custom capabilities are designed
to take the experience and knowledge of internal human
resource specialists and deliver it across an organization
through the vehicle of CheckStart's report software.
A
chain of 300 retail stores needed to both standardize
their hiring practices and make them more effective
in terms of hiring friendlier and more efficient employees.
There were two types of jobs in each store, with each
one having very different job responsibilities. After
analyzing each position with the help of internal
HR and personnel managers, customized HermanCheckStart text
was developed. This now provided individual store
managers with specialized HermanCheckStart hiring reports
for each position within the stores. In addition,
the HermanCheckStart software provided behavioral event
interview questions targeting each candidate's specific
weaknesses relative to the job in question. In this
manner, much of the hiring process became standardized.
At the same time, the process became much more effective
at selecting friendlier and more efficient employees.
In effect, HermanCheckStart allowed the human resource and
personnel departments to leverage their energies.
