The HermanCheckStart Assessment

The success of your business is dependent upon the people you hire. Knowing the skills and experience of each candidate is important. However, skills can be learned, and experience can be acquired. Research has proven that certain elements of personality remain essentially constant. This core behavior is the foundation of job performance. If these traits, or interpersonal competencies, match those needed to perform a particular job, that job seems to come easily to the person. If these traits do not match those needed to perform a particular job, the job will seem difficult. It will require additional energy, additional time, or additional support to accomplish it. HermanCheckStart is designed to accurately identify such mismatches so that the appropriate actions can take place to ensure effective performance in that job.

HermanCheckStart is a Sixth Generation assessment instrument, designed to be quick and easy to use, and to provide accurate and reliable information on the job-related behavior of individuals, without the need for expert interpretation or special training. The program can be used for job applicants and current employees.

The HermanCheckStart Assessment is made up of 2 major components:
   Personality - 2 page, 10 minute Assessment
   Cognitive - 2 page, 6 minute TIMED Assessment.

Several reports are produced by CheckStart. Each report describes the participant's normal behavior in terms of six personality traits. When the Cognitive element is included, the report describes the candidate's Reasoning Ability and then correlates that score with Personality to point out any significant issues.

HermanCheckStart also provides behavioral event interview questions for each Job Category. These questions are selected to probe specific areas of concern identified by the assessment. The user can plan an in-depth interview, choosing from a selection of 24 interview questions provided with each candidate's HermanCheckStart report.

A unique feature of the HermanCheckStart system is the Candidate Comparison Worksheet. This form prints with each candidate's report and provides an excellent method for collecting and summarizing the information gathered on that candidate from various parts of the hiring process. It gives the user an objective way to compare various candidates for the same job.
